Yoga Anyone

In an effort to try an alternative form of exercise, yesterday I ventured into the world of beginner's yoga.

The environment was calming and I must admit that I felt relxed after a few downward dogs and some other few other poses I can't remember.

Althought I kept on getting a lot of the moves wrong and probably didn't breath right, I think I'll enjoy my next few classes of yoga and perhaps even graduate to acheive even greater success in the world of connecting the mind, body and spirit.

The icing on the cake of my first official yoga class (other than my short stint of hot yoga whilst wearing jeans on The Shopping Bags) was the relaxation time at the end. Our instructor asked if any of us wanted a blanket. I thought he was crazy until 15 minutes and a mandolin solo later I was shivering in my tank top and capris on my my newly-purchased 'extra-thick' yoga mat.

After buying the yoga mat and paying for 7 classes --who knew the right of passage into the world of yogies was so costly?

A big "sun salutation" to you.
Well done on starting yoga, I love it. I really miss the relaxation and calmness of it. Somehow its not the same in the cramped apartment with the dogs barking and people asking me to move my non-existent car. Dave wants to do either Xtreme or competitive yoga, he says, isn't that the only kind?
Anyway we're sending back some Lunar New Years gifts with Cheol, and I think you'll like your gift, it will be good for too-ing and fro-ing to yoga with or just chillaxing.
Namaste.
